The most popular resort on the black sea.  The taxi driver quotes me 80 Hryvnia.  It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to drive down to Arkadia.

Culture Shock

My first impressions while driving into Odessa was that alot of the buildings were quite tatty looking and some in desperate need of repair and renovation at least a coat of paint! All the signs are in Cyrillic and make no sense whatsoever. My apartment building was no different and I was having a culture shock.

I unpack and then make my way across the road to get some provisions to stock up the fridge and cupboards for my 4 nights stay in Odessa. I was excited.  I relax back in my apartment and prepare to make my way down to Deribasvkaya for my first beer in Odessa and hopefully eye up some local talent.
